The Virginia Extreme Force is a competitive girls fastpitch softball organization headquartered in the Roanoke Valley. Extreme Force has teams from 10U all the way through 18U. We are so very fortunate to have a facility such as The Spectrum which we have utilized as our indoor training facility for the past 5 years. For our younger teams, The Spectrum provides a facility where our coaches can work with younger players to develop their skills and mechanics. The indoor turf provides a great environment for working on defense while the cages and softball simulator provide the means to get the younger players the reps they need to develop the muscle memory for hitting. For our older, more advanced teams, we utilize The Spectrum during the winter to get both defensive reps on the turf as well as working on developing our hitting in the cages. We also utilize The Spectrum during the summer when we need to prepare for a tournament and the weather is not cooperating outside. Our college showcase teams are comprised of players who have a desire to play softball at the collegiate level. This is a highly competitive level of softball and The Spectrum has provided a professional venue where we can do workouts with perspective player candidates as well as hosting camps with college coaches. The Spectrum is an impressive facility. When we bring college coaches to the facility for camps to work with our players, they immediately know we are serious about softball. Many of our players are highly recruited by Division I, II and III schools throughout the Southeast. Without a doubt, having The Spectrum to develop our players has played a major role in our success.
