All Head Coaches and specialized trainers involved with Spectrum Elite and Spectrum Developmental have been thoroughly reviewed and approved by our staff, and have previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level!

Spectrum Basketball Club is now POWERED BY:

Spectrum Developmental and Spectrum Elite Powered By Bigshots

Spectrum Basketball Club provides local youths the opportunity to play AAU at various stages and levels.  We have two competitive seasons for youth teams, which are fall/ winter and spring/ summer, while our middle and high school seasons run spring and summer.  Tryouts for youth teams begin in the fall, middle school teams tryout in the winter, while high school teams will tryout at the end of the high school basketball season.

SBC athletes have the opportunities to compete at an appropriate skill level.  Our Developmental teams compete in tournaments located mainly at Spectrum Sports Academy and tournaments at surrounding venues.  Travel for these teams is minimal, but each team will play in at least 1-2 tournaments per month.

Our Elite AAU teams will play a competitive schedule against some of the top teams in the region. During April and July, Elite High School teams will compete in NCAA live events, which gives the players an opportunity to play in front of college coaches.  Teams will also compete during May, but during June players are expected to compete with their high school teams

SBC’s Elite teams are powered by Big Shots, one of the premier exposure circuits for basketball.  These teams will compete in Bigshots tournaments throughout the region and nation.

If you’re considering playing Elite AAU basketball for the first time, you should be aware of the following:

  • A larger financial commitment due to travel, lodging, registration fee, etc. The registration fee will vary by age group and will be dependent on number of tournaments played, number of players and teams, etc.
  • A larger time commitment. Expect two nights a week for practice and tournaments 2-3 weekends per month. Some tournaments start on Friday nights.
  • All players and parents expected to keep us updated on missing practice and games. Every effort should be made to attend all practices and games.
  • Playing time is not guaranteed in AAU basketball and players are not promised equal playing time.
